Mac OS X comes with iMessage, Apple's messaging system that's also built in to iOS. While iMessage is great, it doesn't allow cross platform messaging. Enter Viber: an application for Windows, Mac and Linux that does exactly that. Viber is free software that provides two key functions. Viber 14.2 for Mac can be downloaded from our software library for free. This free application is suitable for Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. The default filename for the application's installer is viber.dmg. The following versions: 5.0, 4.0 and 3.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. Devices and Mac OS X version

Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported. Please use version 2.0.10 linked below.

Web browser plugin for Mac OS X
Support for NPAPI plugins was removed from all modern web browsers, so VLC's plugin is no longer maintained. The last version is 3.0.4 and can be found here. It will not receive any further updates.

We provide older releases for users who wish to deploy our software on legacy releases of Mac OS X. You can find recommendations for the respective operating system version below. Note that support ended for all releases listed below and hence they won't receive any further updates.

Get Sierra from the App Store

Before upgrading, it's a good idea to back up your Mac. Then follow these steps:
- Open the App Store app on your Mac.
- Search the App Store for macOS Sierra, or go directly to the macOS Sierra page.
- Click the Download button on the macOS Sierra page. A file named Install macOS Sierra downloads to your Applications folder.
- After download is complete, Install macOS Sierra opens automatically. (You can also open it from the Applications folder, Launchpad, or Spotlight.) Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions.
